RevTech® Chrome Billet Aluminum Wheels by Weld
Racing Technical advances appear in many forms in the world of custom motorcycles. But rarely is a major technical advance combined with artistic excellence the way it is in the brand new design of RevTech® wheels. Making the very first appearance in motorcycle wheels is the 'split and spin' method of manufacturing. A piece of billet only about the thickness of the center web of the wheel is split along the outside edge. The material is then rolled outward and spun into the final shape of the rim creating a one-piece rim and wheel web with the strength of billet and precision shape of a modern rim design. Finally, a precision machined billet hub is securely bolted to the center wheel web to finish off this industry-leading design. |

What fits what - getting the right wheels for your bike
With the proliferation of custom wheels, frames, brakes and front ends, getting the right
wheel is an important consideration. This guide is keyed to Original Equipment
specifications for wheel hubs. In addition, extreme care must be exercised when installing
wheels of different size than originally came on the motorcycle. Wider rims require
careful checking for fender, frame, and chain or belt clearance throughout the range of
suspension travel. For instance, installing the same tire on a wider rim can change the
width of the tire at its widest point causing interference. The applications above merely
identify the specifications for the wheel hubs, and do not necessarily indicate they will
fit any specific model or configuration.

Polished RevTech® Forged Aluminum Wheels
Custom Chrome's exclusive RevTech® forged aluminum wheels combine superior strength with
lower weight and great style
for the ultimate high-performance wheel. Engineered and constructed in the USA by Weld
Racing using their extensive
experience building wheels used in NASCAR, USAC and NHRA racing. Cold forged wheel halves
are joined to the hub with
grade 8 hardware, and jig welded together in the rim area by a sophisticated automatic
process. Wheels are trued and cutouts
machined on a CNC lathe to insure runout accuracy and consistency. They meet the
specifications established by all govern-
ment and industry agencies, and are designed to use tubeless tires. Wheels include Timken
bearings with proper pre-load set and are complete with all required spacers and seals.

B. CARRIAGE WORKS CUSTOM WHEELS
The first true one-piece fully forged aluminum rim for use on Harley-Davidson®
motorcycles. These "Hot Forged" wheels from Carriage Works feature a
revolutionary process that produces a radial grain structure that's up to 40% stronger
than standard cast, welded or bolted together rims. This results in a much smoother, more
stable ride. Hot Forged wheels provide a show quality finish, and because of their special
construction, allow chrome plating without porosity (pitting) problems associated with
other manufacturing methods. Matching brake rotors, pulleys, point, derby and air cleaner
covers are also available elsewhere in this catalog to create a one-of-a-kind look. All
wheels are designed for tubeless use and include: valve stem, bearings, seals and internal
components - installed and shimmed to OEM specifications. Available in 16", 19"
and 21 " sizes for most Big Twin and Sportster® applications 1973-up.
