Powerglide®
'Pro-Lite' Kit with 'Big Axle' Tappets for Evolution® Big Twin Models
Complete kit includes everything needed for reliable performance with much less
maintenance. Will accommodate gross valve lifts of up to.550" at the valves and can
be easily modified for higher lifts. Includes polished aluminum Powerglide® tappet block
set (similar in appearance to Shovelhead tappet blocks) and four 'Big Axle' tappets that
have rollers with 27% greater wall thicknesses permitting a 36% increase in the size of
the tappet axles, resulting in tappets with twice the strength and stability of the stock
design. Also includes a set of inner and outer chrome pushrod covers and clips complete
with seals. Use with adjustable aftermarket pushrods.

JIMS Billet Tappet Blocks
Polished billet tappet blocks are precision machined from 7075-T651 aluminum. Tappet bores
are held to centerline tolerance of .002' and are perpendicular to the mounting flange to
within .0002". They will accommodate a cam with .550" gross lift (.350' at the
tappets), and may be easily modified for higher lift cams. Kits include chrome screws and

These late style tappet blocks fit Big Twin models 1953-1984. When fitted to
1953- early 1976 models with stock 1/4"-24 tapered screws, a conversion tappet block
screw set is required. Screws sold separately. Available with black finish. Will also fit
1948-1953 without hydraulic lifters. Sold in pairs.
