Custom Chrome® Wheel Assemblies with Akront Rims
If you're after the finest spoked wheels in the business, we've got you covered with these
custom-laced wheels exclusively from Custom Chrome®. They feature a lightweight
chrome-plated or highly-polished Akront aluminum rims laced to our top-quality chrome hubs
with chrome or stainless spokes. They come in a wide range of applications and widths.
Akront rims are among the lightest rims available for less unsprung weight for a smoother
ride, better handling and quicker acceleration. Each wheel has been laced and trued
and includes all necessary spacers and Timken bearings set to the proper pre-load at the
factory. The rims, spokes and hubs used to construct these wheel assemblies are also
available separately.

Notes on Fitting Wheels and Hubs
Whenever installing wheels and tires that are wider than their Original Equipment
counterparts, please ensure that there will be sufficient clearance throughout the
suspension range in the frame, swingarm, forks and fenders and that there is no
interference with chains, belts, chain or belt guards and shock absorbers or brake
calipers.

Dual Flange Wheel Assemblies
Chrome or polished stainless steel spokes are laced to chrome rims and hubs. The 16"
wheel assemblies feature our European-manufactured Premium' chrome 16" rims. The hubs
feature thicker spoke flanges, and rotor flanges held to .001" runout with either
5/16" or 7/16" holes on both sides. All hubs accept any stock sprocket/rotor or
rotor/rotor combination for greater flexibility when building custom wheel combinations.
They include all internal spacers, seals and washers, and bearing preload is set at the
factory. Wheel assemblies will bolt-on to most models from 1973 thru 1985.

Flange Front Wheel Assemblies and Hubs
Beautifully chrome-plated single flange front hubs are accurate reproductions of the
Original Equipment hubs on FXWG, Softail® and Dyna Wide Glide® models from 1984 to
present. They come complete with all necessary bearings, seals and spacers, and have their
bearing end play pre-set at the factory. We've also laced these hubs to our chrome-plated
16" and 21" drop center rims with stainless steel or chrome spokes for bolt-on
convenience.

Wheels with Timken-Style Star Hubs for 1936 thru 1966 Big
Twins
A wide selection of stock replacement and custom wheels with chrome or polished stainless
steel spokes laced to CCI's patented Star Hub with Timken-style bearings (CCI #64-012).
Bearing preloads are set at the factory. These complete wheel assemblies fit the front or
rear of most Big Twin models from 1936 thru 1966 when the appropriate Custom Chrome Axle
and Hardware kit is used. The stock brake axle sleeve for the appropriate application is
also required. Though the Axle Kits will work with Original Equipment Star Hubs, the
Original Equipment axles will not work with Custom Chrome Wheel Assemblies with Star Hubs.
